Learn about robotics and hardware in this Family Festival’s Digital Makers event. Programme your robot and be inspired by the Tate collection. Think about what the ideas of community and identity mean to you and learn digital skills to make your own creation.

Be creative, experience new technologies and become digital artists.

Find out how to recreate this at home or in the classroom with our breakdown activity over on Tate Kids.

Digital Makers is a series of digital art making workshops aimed at 8–14 year olds. These workshops will be inspired by art and artists and explore a range of digital skills.

Quotes from kids:

We actually got to be artists and discover their ways of creating.

The project helped me feel more confident because I haven’t done a digital workshop before and I also learned a lot about different types of photography and the history of photos.

I found it exciting and fun as we were able to be inventive and creative.
