Source: Street Photography with Accent Magazine

13 September 2014 at 12.00–17.00

Join Accent Magazine for a one-day celebration of extraordinary documentary portraiture and DIY self-publishing.

Design, edit and reproduce your own zine using images from your individual portfolios and content from the Accent archives, with a team of Accent editors and contributing photographers who will provide tips on the editorial process and shooting from the hip. Participants will have the opportunity to receive one-to-one feedback on existing photographic projects and will be guided through the production of a self published-zine.

This workshop is part of the Street Photography themed month in Source display.

Accent Magazine is an online quarterly celebrating lives lived outside the ordinary from around the world. Featuring contributions from an international team of photographers, film-makers and writers, each issue showcases ten original portrait stories that focus on extraordinary individuals and unconventional lifestyles.

Source display has been curated by Tate Collective London. Tate Collective London plan and develop events for other young people, 15 – 25 years, to create, experiment and engage with the Tate Collection at Tate Britain and Tate Modern.

Tate Collective London is a part of Circuit, led by Tate and funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
