Art and SEND Tate Britain

20 May 2016 at 11.30–18.00

Explore how art can impact on classroom practice and be used to promote creative possibilities for young people

An engaging, leftfield day that will make learning more surprising, engaging and unpredictable not just for SEND but all learners’
Art and SEND participant 2014

This event is for teachers and staff working with students with special educational needs and disibilities (SEND), students from Pupil Referral Units (PRU) and students with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

Led by artists with experience of working with these groups within the gallery context, the session creatively challenges preconceptions about the nature and potential of engagement in art by young people with special educational needs and disibilities.
