Champion Creative Careers

18–24 September 2017

Discover the impact of creative education and become an art champion

Join dot-art Schools in championing art education and discuss the diverse range of careers and impact that studying creative subjects can lead have. Throughout the week visitors can view an evolving display including dot-art Schools winning student artwork, a feedback wall for visitors to contribute their own creative career pathways, and watch short films of teachers and other education experts talking about the impact of art education.

Alongside the display school groups, visitors and families can also take part in a drawing activity on Wednesday 20, Thursday 21 and Saturday 23 September.

On Thursday 21 September join a Creative Career Champions session from 16.15 - 17.30 with presentations from arts and creative industries professionals followed by Q&A and a discussion. This event is free but booking is required.

This series of events has been programmed in association with dot-art Schools, a Tate Exchange Liverpool Associate.

About dot-art Schools

dot-art Schools is an interactive, online, inter-school art competition, culminating in an annual exhibition for the top students in each participating school. Celebrating and showcasing visual arts excellence in schools across the Liverpool city region, competitions are held in both Liverpool and Cheshire, in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University. dot-art Schools aims to raise ambition and nurture talent to allow young people to consider a creative career path, giving them an introduction to art outside of the classroom and encourage engagement with culture, outside of school.
