Collect and Collate Tate Modern to all Key Stages

This course explores the rich variety of techniques that artists use to research and develop ideas. Looking at the role of tools such as sketchbooks, journals, cameras and collections, the session provides innovative and exciting ways for students to collect and research their ideas.

This course offers:

  • Ways of thinking, experimenting, recording and reflecting on ideas
  • An understanding of the types of processes that underpin art works in the gallery
  • Methods for collecting and collating responses to contemporary art practice, with a view to furthering ideas in the classroom.
